We have to admit: we haven’t been this excited in a while. We love our new shorties and jumpsuits collection. This styled shoot features the Maria Jumpsuit and Maude Shortie by Sarah Seven. With their unique, squared necklines, both of these styles give us a sexy yet elegant vibe. Maria is a chic jumpsuit with a low back, fitted waist, and wide legs, and Maude is a mid-length dress that glistens with a classy leopard print texture. Jumpsuits and shorties are great options for elopements, rehearsal dinners, post-wedding brunch, exit dresses, or as an alternative option for the cool and modern bride!

Trend #1: Unique Fabric & Textures
From floral lace to beaded sparkle, we love all kinds of different textures on our modern dresses. Here, we have Muscari by Alena Leena. She is an ivory fit and flare with a tint of gray, and is covered in a stunning and elegant beaded sparkle. Her structured bodice allows for a perfect fit with these romantic off-the-shoulder sleeves.
Trend #2: Dramatic Sleeves
At Strike, we get a lot of requests for sleeves. From long to short, off the shoulder or bell, sleeves will always have a special place in our heart. This is Clematis. She is the perfect combination of untraditional yet timeless, and accompanied with the most stunning and dramatic puffed sleeves.
Trend #3: Black/Non-Traditional Colors
We love that our designers offer gowns in many variations of non-traditional colors. Blush ivory, smokey blush, taupe, silver, and our favorite: black! Here is Armeria, one of our favorite modern, a-line gowns. We first knew her in ivory, and recently welcomed her in black. The combination of her corset bodice, unique neckline, and tiered a-line skirt with the deep black tulle gives Armeria a romantic and edgy feel.
Trend #3: 2-in-1 Looks with Detachable Sleeves
How cool is this : many of our dresses with sleeves are available with the option to make the sleeves detachable. This gives a bride two different looks. Whether our brides loves both looks or wants different reception and ceremony vibes, detachable sleeves make the decision easy! Take a look at Armeria with and without her dreamy bell sleeves.
Trend #4: Jumpsuits & Dress Alternatives
Shorties and jumpsuits are a new addition to our collection, and it makes us smile every time a bride leaves with one of these babies. These dress alternatives are perfect for an untraditional wedding look and elopements. If your perfect dress comes in gown form, consider our shorties and jumpsuits for rehearsal dinners, receptions, bridal showers, or exit outfits!
St James 1868 + Ginkgo Gown
Our Ginkgo gown by Alena Leena was the perfect choice for this brightly styled shoot. Ginkgo, with her long sleeves, slim a-line skirt, and sparkly, ivory lace, fits right in to the airy floral design and the clean backdrop of St James 1868.

River Club + Ivy and Pansy Gowns
We absolutely loved following this shoot from day to night. From the stationary to the balloon arch, the decor was a perfect coral creation with stark whites and deep blacks. These brides both wore romantic, modern, and whimsical Alena Leena gowns. Ivy is a tulle a-line skirt that features floral lace, a structured bodice, and delicate cap sleeves. Pansy is also a-line, but with a modern square neckline, beaded top, and deep illusion cuts on the sides. We could not image a sweeter pair!

The Gage + Armeria Gown
We are getting all the modern bride feels right now with the juxtaposition of this styled shoot. The Gage’s industrial vibe makes a super cool backdrop for one of our most unique and whimsical gowns: Armeria by Alena Leena. This dress is loved for her corset bodice, dramatic off-the-shoulder sleeves, and tiered, pleated tulle skirt. The combination of Armeria’s bright ivory with the rustic, fall colors of the tablescapes and floral design is our total dream.
